My Own Pomodoro Privacy Policy

# My Own Pomodoro Privacy Policy

- Service: My Own Pomodoro (나만의 포모도로)
- Effective date: May 19, 2026
- Last updated: May 19, 2026

This policy describes how the mobile app "My Own Pomodoro" (the "App") collects, uses, stores, and transmits personal information. The App has no sign-up flow, and all session records, memos, and statistics are stored only on the user's device.

## 1. Information collected and transmitted

### 1.1 Directly identifiable information

The App **does not collect any directly identifiable personal information** such as name, email, phone number, address, or date of birth. There is no sign-up or login flow, and no user account that can identify you.

### 1.2 Data stored locally on the device

The following data is created and entered by the user inside the App and **stored only in the device's internal storage**. It is not transmitted to any external server.

| Data | Storage location | Format |
|---|---|---|
| Focus session records (task name, time, memo, tags, status) | `shared_preferences` (app-private storage) | JSON-serialized |
| Subjects | same | same |
| App settings (theme, language, default focus length, sound, vibration) | same | key–value |
| Notification schedules | OS notification system | local |

If the user creates a JSON backup via "Settings → Export data", the backup file is saved to the location chosen by the user (external storage, cloud drive, etc.). The App does not track the post-export path of that file.

### 1.3 Information processed by third-party SDKs

The App integrates the following third-party SDKs. Information processed by each SDK is governed by that provider's own privacy policy.

#### 1.3.1 Google AdMob (advertising)

The App displays a single banner ad (Google AdMob) at the bottom of the screen. AdMob collects and transmits the following to serve ads:

- Advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID, iOS IDFA)
- IP address
- Device information (model, OS version, language, country)
- Ad impression / click metrics

Details: [Google Advertising Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads)

On iOS, the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) dialog is shown on first launch, asking the user to allow or deny tracking. If the user denies tracking, IDFA is not collected.

#### 1.3.2 Google Play services

- **In-App Update**: checks whether a new version of the App is available. Uses only the app package name and version; collects no personal information.
- **In-App Review**: shows the Play Store rating dialog when the user opens it. Ratings and review text are collected directly by Google Play; the App does not see the user's input.

The App **does not use** the following Firebase / analytics / crash reporter / social login SDKs: Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Authentication, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, Kakao Login, Naver Login, Facebook Login.

## 2. Permissions (Android)

The App requests only the following permissions.

| Permission | Purpose | If denied |
|---|---|---|
| `INTERNET`, `ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE` | AdMob ad serving, app update check | No ads, no update check |
| `POST_NOTIFICATIONS` (Android 13+) | Show timer-end notifications | No end-of-timer alert |
| `VIBRATE` | Vibrate on timer end (when enabled in settings) | No vibration |
| `SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM`, `USE_EXACT_ALARM` (Android 12+) | Deliver timer-end notifications at exact moments | Alerts may arrive minutes late |
| `RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED` | Restore scheduled notifications after device reboot | Scheduled notifications lost on reboot |

**The App does not request any sensitive permissions** — no camera, microphone, contacts, location, external storage, phone, SMS, or calendar access. The "Export / Import data" feature uses the OS-standard file picker (Storage Access Framework), so no separate storage permission is required.

## 3. Retention period

- **Locally stored data** (sessions, subjects, settings): retained until the user uninstalls the App or runs "Settings → Reset statistics data".
- **Information collected by third-party SDKs** (AdMob, etc.): retained per the respective service's retention policy. The App has no control over this.

## 4. Sharing with third parties

The App does not share user data with third parties except as listed below.

- Automated processing by the SDKs listed in section 1.3 (AdMob ad serving, Google Play update / review checks).

The App does not sell, transfer, or otherwise share user data for marketing, resale, or research purposes.

## 5. User rights

Users can control their data as follows.

- **Delete all data**: App settings → "Reset statistics data" or uninstall the App.
- **Back up data**: App settings → "Export data" → save as JSON file.
- **Reset advertising identifier** (block ad tracking):
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads → "Reset advertising ID" / "Opt out of Ads Personalization"
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track" + revoke tracking permission for this App
- **Block notifications**: OS Settings → Notifications → "My Own Pomodoro" → disable notifications.

## 6. Children's privacy

The App is not directed at children under 14 (Korean privacy law threshold) — or under 13 (COPPA threshold for the United States) — as a primary audience. AdMob is configured for general audiences. Parental supervision is recommended if a child uses the App.

## 7. Privacy contact

- Name: SiU Ahn (안시우)
- Email: siwooeo@gmail.com

For inquiries, objections, or data access requests, please email the address above. Responses are sent within 7 business days.

## 8. Changes to this policy

This policy may change as laws, service policies, or integrated SDKs evolve. Material changes will be announced inside the App or by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
