- Last updated: July 6, 2026

This policy explains how the mobile application **D-day Counter+** ("this app") handles user data. This app requires no account or sign-up and does not collect personally identifiable information.

## 1. Data We Collect or Transmit

### 1-1. Personally identifiable information

This app does **not** collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, accounts, or any other directly identifying information. There is no sign-up or login feature.

### 1-2. Data stored locally on your device

The following data is stored only on your device and is never sent to any server:

- D-day entries you create (title, target date, start date, emoji, memo, category)
- App settings (theme, language, onboarding status)

Storage: a local database (Hive) and app preferences (shared_preferences). To display the home screen widget, part of this data may be copied to the device's widget storage area, which also remains on the device only.

### 1-3. Third-party service — Google AdMob (advertising)

This app uses Google AdMob to serve ads. AdMob may automatically collect:

- Advertising identifier (Advertising ID / IDFA)
- IP address and approximate location (IP-based)
- Device information (model, OS version, screen size, etc.)
- Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)

See: [Google Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy), [Google Advertising Policies](https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads)

On iOS, tracking permission is controlled by you through Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt. In regulated regions (e.g., the EEA), a Google UMP consent form is shown.

### 1-4. App update check

This app uses Google Play's in-app update feature to check whether a new version is available. No personal data is collected in this process.

## 2. Permissions

This app does **not** request sensitive permissions such as camera, microphone, contacts, location, or storage. It only uses internet access for loading ads and checking updates.

## 3. Data Retention

- Local device data: retained until you delete the app or remove the data within the app.
- Data collected by AdMob: processed and retained according to Google's privacy policy.

## 4. Third-Party Sharing

Other than Google AdMob as described in section 1-3, this app does not share data with any third party and does not operate its own servers.

## 5. Your Rights

- Deleting the app removes all locally stored data.
- Reset your advertising identifier: Android Settings → Google → Ads / iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- On iOS, you can withdraw tracking permission at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

## 6. Children's Privacy

This app is not directed at children under the age of 14 (nor under 13, per COPPA) and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. AdMob ads are served for general audiences.
