However, the following information may be processed **locally (on your device)** or **by a third party (Google AdMob) for advertising**.
### 1.1 Microphone (real-time processing only — never recorded, stored, or transmitted)
This app uses the **microphone permission** to measure the pitch of your ukulele strings.
- Microphone input is used **only for real-time frequency analysis on your device**.
- Audio is **never recorded, never saved to a file, and never transmitted anywhere.** It is discarded immediately after analysis.
- If you deny the microphone permission, other screens (History, Settings) still work normally.
### 1.2 Local storage on your device (never transmitted)
The following is stored only on your device via `SharedPreferences`:
- Tuning session history (date, per-string verdict and offset, elapsed time, completion/verification status)
- App settings (theme, language)
This data is **never sent to any external server** and is deleted when you uninstall the app. You can also delete individual records on the History screen.
### 1.3 Third-party processing for ads (Google AdMob)
To keep this app free, banner ads are served through the **Google AdMob** SDK. AdMob may automatically collect and process the following for personalized ads and click-fraud prevention:
- **Advertising ID** (resettable on your device)
- IP address (for approximate location)
- Device information (model, OS version, screen size, etc.)
- Ad impression and click records
The developer does not directly collect or store this information; **Google processes it under its own privacy policy**.
