QR Anywhere ("this app") values your privacy and complies with applicable privacy laws. This policy explains what information the app handles and how it is protected.
## 1. Information We Collect or Transmit
### 1-1. Directly identifiable information
This app has no sign-up or login. It does not collect directly identifiable personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number.
### 1-2. Data stored locally on your device (never sent to servers)
The following data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to the developer or any external server:
- QR scan history, QR codes you create, and their design settings (Hive local database)
- App preferences: theme, language, scan behavior options (shared_preferences)
- Copies of logo images used for QR styling (app internal storage)
Camera frames used for scanning and images you pick from your gallery are processed entirely on-device and are never uploaded.
### 1-3. Information collected by third-party services
**Google AdMob (advertising)**
This app displays ads served by Google AdMob. To serve ads and prevent fraud, AdMob may automatically collect:
- Advertising ID, IP address, device information (model, OS version, etc.), and ad interaction data
See the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) for details. You can reset your advertising ID or limit personalized ads in your device settings.
**Google Play services (in-app updates and reviews)**
Update checks and review prompts run through Google Play services. No additional personal information is collected by this app in the process.
## 2. Permissions
- **Camera**: used for real-time QR and barcode scanning. Camera frames are not stored or transmitted.
- **Photos/Media access**: used to decode QR codes from gallery images, add a logo to your QR design, and save finished QR images to your gallery. Access is limited to images you explicitly select via the system photo picker.
These permissions are requested only when the related feature is used. If denied, the rest of the app (creating and styling QR codes) still works normally.
## 3. Retention
- Locally stored data: kept until you delete it in the app or uninstall the app.
- Data collected by third-party services: governed by the respective service's (Google's) privacy policy.
## 4. Third-Party Disclosure
Other than the Google services described in section 1-3, this app does not share personal information with any third party, and the developer does not collect or transmit data to any separate server.
## 5. Your Rights
- Delete history: individual entries can be removed on the History screen.
- Delete all data: uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.
- Reset advertising ID / limit ad personalization: available under device Settings → Google → Ads.
## 6. Children's Privacy
This app is not directed at children under the age of 14 (and, for COPPA alignment, not directed at children under the age of 13). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Ads served are intended for general audiences.
