ResumeFacts ("this app") values your privacy and complies with applicable privacy laws. This policy explains what information the app handles and how it is protected.
## 1. Information Collected or Transmitted
### 1-1. Directly identifiable information
This app has no sign-up or login feature and does not collect or transmit directly identifiable personal information (name, email, phone number, etc.) to any developer server. The developer operates no server for this app.
### 1-2. Data stored locally on your device
The following data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to a server (using the Hive local database and shared_preferences):
- History entries: titles, organizations, types, numbers, start/end dates, and notes you enter for education, certifications, career, military service, volunteering, awards, languages, and other records
- Proof photos: images you attach to entries (diplomas, certificates, etc.). Only images you explicitly select through the OS photo picker are copied into the app's internal storage; they are never sent to the developer.
- App lock PIN: stored only as a SHA-256 hash on your device. The raw PIN is never stored or transmitted anywhere.
- App settings: theme, language, biometric unlock preference, etc.
### 1-3. Biometric authentication
Fingerprint/face unlock simply invokes your device operating system's biometric authentication. This app never accesses or stores biometric data itself.
### 1-4. Backup and export files
Backup (.zip) and export (text/Markdown/PNG/PDF) files are created only when you explicitly request them, and you choose the sharing destination (mail, messenger, drive, etc.) yourself in the OS share sheet. The developer has no access to these files.
### 1-5. Third-party service — Google AdMob
This app uses Google AdMob to display ads. In the course of serving ads, AdMob may collect:
- Advertising ID
- IP address and device information (model, OS version, etc.)
- Ad interaction data
For details, see the [Google Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy).
On iOS, the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework lets you choose whether to allow tracking.

On Android, Google Play services are used to check for app updates. No additional personal information is collected in this process.
## 2. Permissions
This app uses the following permissions:
- Internet (INTERNET): displaying ads and checking for updates
- Biometrics (USE_BIOMETRIC): unlocking the app with fingerprint/face authentication. The app does not access biometric data itself.

This app does not request any other sensitive permissions such as camera, microphone, contacts, or location.
## 3. Retention Period
- Locally stored data: retained until you delete it in the app or uninstall the app.
- Information collected by third parties (AdMob): governed by the respective service's privacy policy.
