MP3 to Chords Privacy Policy

MP3 to Chords — Privacy Policy

Effective: October 1, 2026

SiU Ahn ("the developer") publishes this policy to explain what the MP3 to Chords app (MP3 코드 변환기, "the app") does with your information.

1. Overview

The app has no sign-up and no account. It does not ask for your name, phone number or email address. The audio or video file you choose is sent to the developer's server so that its beats and chords can be analyzed, and it is deleted from the server as soon as the analysis is finished. The developer keeps no copy of the file.

2. What is collected, and why

2.1 Sent to the developer's server

Access records (IP address, time, requested address)Preventing abuse of the server and investigating failures14 days
  • The file is used only for the analysis. It is not given to other users or used for anything else.
  • The analysis result kept on the server is not linked to anything that identifies you.
  • Lyrics are neither analyzed nor stored.
  • "Song" and "Together" playback plays the file on your device directly and does not go through the server.

2.2 Stored on your device only (never transmitted)

ItemPurposeRetention

Instrument, pattern and chord difficulty settingsShowing the same settings next timeOn-device storage; erased when the app is removed

2.3 Advertising

The app is free. It may show a banner at the bottom of the screen, and a full-screen ad when you press "Convert" and when you save a sheet. Who provides the ads depends on where you use the app.

Inside the Toss app (Apps in Toss in-app ads) — the ads are provided by Toss (Viva Republica). Information needed to show and measure ads is processed by Toss under Toss's own privacy policy. The developer receives no information from the ads that identifies you.

The app from Google Play, the App Store or the Galaxy Store (Google AdMob) — Google, as the ad provider, may collect and use advertising identifiers, IP addresses and device information under its own policies.

  • Google advertising policy: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads
  • Users in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent to personalised ads through Google's consent tool, and can change that choice at any time under Ad consent settings in the app's settings.
  • On iOS you are asked whether to allow tracking (App Tracking Transparency) on first launch; declining does not restrict any feature of the app.
  • On Android you can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads in the system settings.

2.4 Saving a sheet

The sheet image (PNG) and the PDF are made on your device and saved where you choose. The saved file is not sent to the developer's server or anywhere else.

2.5 Store and device features (the app from a store)

  • Update check — the app asks Google Play (Android) or the Apple App Store (iOS) whether a newer version exists. No information that identifies you is sent.
  • Rate the app and More apps — open the matching store page.

2.6 Sharing and contact

  • Share the app opens your device's share sheet; what is sent, and to whom, is up to you.
  • Contact opens a draft in your mail app with the developer's address and your environment (operating system, app version and device model, or Toss app version) filled in. Nothing is sent until you send it yourself, and mail received is used only to answer you.

3. Permissions

The app does not request contacts or location permissions. It reads only the audio or video file you pick yourself in the file chooser. On iOS, if you choose "Photo Library" or "Take Photo or Video" in the file chooser, iOS may ask for access to photos, the camera or the microphone; the app still reads only the one file you pick. For the iOS tracking request, see section 2.3.

4. Retention and deletion

The audio or video file is deleted from the server as soon as the analysis is finished. The analysis result is kept on the server so you can reopen it; to have it deleted, write to the address below with the file name and the date you converted it, and it will be deleted without delay. Access records are deleted after 14 days. Information on your device is gone when you clear the history or remove the app. Contact mail is kept to answer you and deleted without delay on request.

5. Sharing with third parties and outsourcing

The developer does not sell or provide your information to third parties. The server is run by the developer, and processing is not outsourced. Toss or Google AdMob processes information within the scope of section 2.3 in order to show ads.

6. Your rights

You can clear the history in the app at any time, and you can ask for the analysis results kept on the server to be deleted. You can refuse personalised ads, or choose again, as described in section 2.3.

7. Children's privacy

The app is not directed at children under 14 and does not knowingly collect their personal information.

8. Contact

9. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the changes will be announced in the app or on this page.
