SledPick Privacy Policy

Effective: September 17, 2026

SiU Ahn ("the developer") publishes this policy to explain what the SledPick app ("the app") does with your information.

1. Overview

The app has no sign-up and no account. The entries and favorites you enter are stored on your device only, and the developer cannot read them. The random numbers that decide a race are also generated on your device and are never sent anywhere.

2. What is collected, and why

2.1 Stored on your device only (never transmitted)

ItemPurposeRetention
Favorites (list name and entries)Loading a list you use oftenOn-device storage; erased when the app is uninstalled
Music, sound effect, vibration and language settingsTurning sound and vibration on or off, choosing the languageOn-device storage; erased when the app is uninstalled
Time the last full-screen ad was shownKeeping ads from appearing too oftenOn-device storage; erased when the app is uninstalled

Entries you type on the entry screen are gone when you close the app unless you save them as a favorite.

2.2 Advertising (Google AdMob)

The app is free. It may show a banner ad at the bottom of the results screen and a full-screen ad when you start a race. Google, as the ad provider, may collect and use advertising identifiers, IP addresses and device information under its own policies.

  • Google advertising policy: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads
  • Users in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent to personalised ads through Google's consent tool, and can change that choice at any time under Ad consent settings in the app's settings.
  • On iOS you are asked whether to allow tracking (App Tracking Transparency) on first launch; declining does not restrict any feature of the app.
  • On Android you can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads in the system settings.

2.3 Store and device features

  • Update check — the app asks Google Play (Android) or the Apple App Store (iOS) whether a newer version exists. No information that identifies you is sent.
  • Rate the app and More apps — open the matching store page.
  • Tell a friend — opens your device's share sheet; you decide what to send and to whom.
  • Contact us — opens a draft in your mail app with the developer's address, the app version, your device model and OS version filled in. Nothing is sent until you send it yourself, and the developer uses the mail only to answer you.

3. Permissions

Apart from an internet connection for ads and update checks, the app asks for no sensitive permission such as camera, microphone, contacts, location or photos. For the iOS tracking request, see section 2.2.

4. Retention and deletion

Information stored on your device disappears as soon as you delete a favorite or uninstall the app. Support mail is kept to answer you and is deleted promptly on request.

5. Sharing with third parties

The developer does not sell or share your information with third parties, except that Google AdMob processes information within the scope of section 2.2 to show ads.

6. Your rights

You can edit or delete favorites in the app at any time, and uninstalling the app erases everything stored on your device. You can refuse or change personalised ads as described in section 2.2.

7. Children's privacy

The app is not directed at children under 14 (or under 13 where COPPA applies) and does not knowingly collect their personal information.

8. Contact

For privacy questions, please contact:

9. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the changes will be announced in the app or on this page.
